【家族論】
家族社会学とジェンダー社会学的見地から家庭内でのジェンダーの構築そして再生産のプロセスについて理論と実証研究から学ぶ。
特に家庭内の性別役割分担や父親の育児・家事参加に焦点を置き日米などの文献研究をしながら国際比較をする。
更に家庭内のジェンダー関係の夫婦や子どもへの影響についても取り上げる。
院生は家族とジェンダー関係についての文献を読み個別研究の問題と課題を設定して自身の理論や調査法をまとめることを最終的な目標とする。
研究テーマ
家庭内でのジェンダー関係が顕著に現れる性別役割分担に焦点を置き日米の男性の家事・育児参加についての実証研究を主に３つの角度から試みてきました。第一は米国で研究されてきた主な理論を用い日米における大規模なデータを使用した実証研究です。
第二に男女の家事・育児参加の相違点を研究するために日米において積極的に家事・育児に参加している男性へのヒアリング調査です。
第三の研究として父親の家事・育児参加が子どもの社会的発達や夫婦関係にどのような影響を与えているかに注目しました。
