Greetings from the Dean

With its long tradition of teaching and research in child development and education, Ochanomizu University has produced many talented researchers, educators and clinical professionals in these fields. As the phrase “lifelong development” indicates, the word “development” now pertains not only to children but also to the entire life cycle, from birth to old age and death. In addition to research fields that explore various aspects of such human development, the Division of Human Developmental Sciences promotes education and research that take a broad view of the social sciences and human behavioral sciences.

The Division of Human Developmental Sciences welcomes highly ambitious people, including working adults.
