The global leaders who make innovation happen should have basic knowledge of associated field (especially physics, mathematics and information science) enough to find new programs and solve them, in addition to high degree of professionalism. “Minor Course of Science and Technology for Global Leaders” have a coursework to enhance basic knowledge (Innovation Creation Fundamental Courses).
“Essential Engineering & Technology for Global Leaders Ⅰ” will be offered. This is a lecture for students who are in “Minor Course of Science and Technology for Global Leaders”. But all master’s & doctoral students can take it if you have interest. The lecture will be conducted in English.
Lecture Objective
Engineering is a broad topic. This course focuses on health technologies, especially the ones able to play a beneficial role in the prevention of non-communicable diseases and the extension of healthy life expectancy. The health care industry traditionally provides lots of opportunities for technological innovations. The recent development of mobile health technologies might change preventive medicine. They offer continuous monitoring features and frequent feedbacks for the user. They also provide distance intervention / communication tools for health professionals. Therefore, they might be able to induce healthier lifestyles.
