Minor Course of Science and Technology for Global Leaders
Ochanomizu University was selected by Japan’s Ministry of Education to participate and execute the dramatic reform in graduate level education.
The “Science and Technology for Global Leaders” graduate program
- is a 5 years course aimed at creating continuity between master and doctoral studies, implementing curricula that overarch fields of specialization
- outlines national and global goals of higher involvement and expectations set out for women in the fields of science and technology
- is dedicated to expanding the students’ fundamental knowledge of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as to the development of leadership skills and creative potential needed to respond to the complex and challenging needs of the innovation-driven society
- yearly and on competitive basis, awards excellent students a scholarship and a PhD co-degree jointly with the Major that it complements, within the Divisions of Advanced and Life Sciences
