Visit to the University of Wuppertal |
- January 24th and 25th, 2013, three coordinating professors (Prof. Keiko Takano, Prof. Gi-Chol Cho and Prof. Ichiro Kobayashi) visited University of Wuppertal. The presentations of research were made by fourteen students studying there and the assessment meeting followed between the professors of Wuppertal, Trinity College and Ochanomizu University. The evaluators confirmed the implementation of the program and sum up this project continued since 2009.

- From November 6th to 8th, 2012, three coordinating professors (Prof.Tetsuo Deguchi,
Prof.Haruko Ogawa and Prof.Ichiro Kobayashi) and one administrative officer (Ms.Yumi Gushima) visited University of Wuppertal and made the survey about studies and living conditions of fourteen students studying there. Then they held the mid-term assessment meeting with local professors.
Also, the ceremony of memorial tree (“Katsura Tree” was presented from ITP project to University of Wuppertal) was held and the reception followed.

- On Nov. 8th, Professor Tetsuo Deguchi held the seminar on Physics at University of Wuppertal and the student who was supported by this ITP in 2009 made the presentation.

- Sep. 27th - The last orientation session was held before departure.

- Sep. 12th - 16 students made presentation of their research in English and answered questions at the end.

- Jul. 21st - Classes of "Tea Ceremony" were held mainly for the prospective ITP trainees of 2012.

- Apr. 25th - Prof. Petra Winzer, Vice President(International Affairs) and Prof. Per Jensen, University of Wuppertal visited Ochanomizu University and
had discussion with related parties on the promotion of students' exchange.

- Jan.20th, 2012 - Three coordinating professors(Prof. Keiko Takano, Prof. Gi-Chol Cho and Prof. Masato Oguchi) visited University of Bergische Wuppertal for the assessment meeting. After the presentations of research made by 12 students studying there, the coordinating professors, 4 professors there and one from Trinity College, Dublin confirmed the implementation of the program and discussed about the matter to be improved.

- Dec.14th - The fourth ITP lecture, Department of Chemistry lecture, entitled “MOLECULAR ENGINEERING OF FOLDED NANO-ARCHITECTURES” was held. The speaker was Dr. Ivan Huc, University of Bordeaux 1, European Institute of Chemistry and Biology, one of the institutions which ITP sends students. Students and professors attended and listened to the lecture intently.

- Nov.22nd - There was a historical tour for the students of Ochanomizu University currently studying at University of Bergische Wuppertal.

- From November 3rd to 5th, 2011, three coordinating professors(Prof.Keiko Takano,
Prof.Gi-Chol Cho and Prof.Takayuki Ito) and one administrative officer (Ms.Yumi Gushima) visited University of Wuppertal for the mid-term assessment meeting with local professors and administrator in charge, based on the survey about studies and living conditions of twelve students studying there.
At the reception held jointly by both universities, staff concerned and students participated in it, and strengthened their mutual friendship.
